Juno 10.?A preliminary hearing on u wholesale automobile racket in Darlington and adjoining counties was completed lit Darlington today in the courthouse before Magistrate W. C. The racket, according to officers, whs practiced by the men when scores of automobiles were burned and other cars were dismantled and parts used to build other units. Burned automobile bodies were placed on unburned units to deceive insurance and finance companies. The changing and switching of bodies and parts are alleged to have lieen done near Hartsvllle and the salvage of parts were manipulated and switched for the purpose of carrying on ii widespread racket. It is alleged that the destruction and the secreting of automobiles Iti Darlington and adjoining counties had reached such proportions thai insurance and finance companies were unable to opcrate with any degree of safety. Not only did this youngster hold the Florence batters to three lonely slugles, but he was a demon at the bat, poling out three of the nine hits recorded by Camden. Camden won the game by a 10 to 4 score. Florence used two pitchers in an effort to Btom the rush of the Camden team, but neither were effective.
