Given annually to raise funds to aid In the national campaign against Infantile paralysis. From the standpoint of numbers, the affair was a dlBtlnct disappointment to County Chairman John Porter and City Chairman Jack Whltaker, Jr. These gentlemen, with a group of committee workers did not stint In time or effort to attract a big crowd 1 of dancers to the event, but for some unknown reason, the effort was a failure and the dance receipts barely took care of the expenses. Those who attended tho affair were ? profuse In their declarations that It was quite the most pleasant event of the dancing season, with inspiring music by the Hobklrk Inn orchestra of seven pieces and a really splendid floor show presented by Miss Margaret Land and her group of dancers from Chester. ? It Is to be regretted that, in view of the very humane purpose of the event, that so little cooperation waa evidenced by the general public.
