Oswego, Jan. 21.?A wedding of Simplicity apd beauty was that of Miss Musldora Colclough DuBose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Scott DuBose, of Oswego, and William Howard James, of Camden, which was solemnized December 31L in Hebron Presbyterian church. The candles were being lighfbd by the ushers, Jack DeWitt, of Columbia, and J. T. McLeod, of Boykin, as Mrs. T. A. DuBose, pianist, and William C. Baldwin, violinist, rendered the wedding music. The ushers entered first and took their places. The bridesmaids, Misses Adelaide Phllson, of Columbia, and Sara Burrows, of Oswego, came in together. After the bridesmaids the groomsmen, Scott and Quignard DuBose, brothers of the bride, took their places around the altar. Mrs. Jerry Page was matron of honor. The maldi of honor, the younger sister of the bride, was Miss Buford DuBose. , The bride came in on the arm of her father and was met at the altar] by the bridegroom and his brother, Charles James, best man. The bride was lovely in white chiffon velvet, ^vith a train and long veil. She carried a shower bouquet of white ros-ss and lily of the valley and her only ornament was a gold necklace, a gift of her maternal grandfather to his bride. The ceremony was performed by the H Rev W. H. Stevenson .pastor of the bride. While the vows were being m spoken candlelight shed its glow over W the -bridal party. ^ Immediately after the ceremony a small reception was given by Miss Eliza M. Dick at her home, Colclough Hall. Mrs. James, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. S. DuBose, was graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1935 and since then has been doing social work within the state. I Mr. James Is the son of C. S. James and the late Mrs. James, of Rembert. He is now engaged In business In Camden where they will make their home after their wedding trip to FlorI ida. Frederick Vassal Stewart, was appointed by President Lincoln as head of the Commisary Department during the Civil war. Truesdale, of Cgmden. 8he received her education at Camden and later took a beauty culture course in Columbia, where she became manager of the Rosewood Drive beauty shop. I Mr. Anderson is the son of Mrs. S. M. Anderson and the late S. M. Anderson, of Florence. He # attended TbeCltadsI, and is now holding a pc sition in Cheraw with a health and life insurance comanpy. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are living in Cheraw. Entertain At Tea Room Under the able direction of Mrs. J. H. Guthrie the Woman's Exchange tea room gave its opening tea Saturday afternon and many guests called during the party hours. Mrs. E. N. McDowell and Mrs. Klrby Tupper poured ' tea- and* coffee- from opposite ends of the prettily appointed tea ta ble which was centered with an arrangement of narcissi and Nuda Flora. The party was given at the home of the circle chairman, Mrs. C. E. Watts, whose home was lovely in its decorations of early spring fltAvers.
