been fixtures out In the right field for
two years now. It Is that kind of cooperation

The largest crowd to witness a
softball game in Camden crowded the
bleachers and outfield of tho softball
field Monday afternoon to see th^
Sinclair Oilers take the first of the
city title games from the Kendall
Mills by a 3 to 1 score By actual
count taken during tho fifth and sixth
Innings there were 819 spectators at
the game.
It was without a doubt the finest
exhibition of softball seen in Camden
since the sport was started in May.
1937. But one error was recorded
during the entire game, that being an
overthrow at flrat base on the part of

game, which was onp of the best conducted
on the diamond this season.
The players of both teams played
bard fust ball, and there was not a
single Instance of crubblng heard on
either squad. Clyde Maker did some
fine work back of the catcher, while
Jimmy Williams on first. Art Robinson
Ttii second and Hastl Bruce on
third "called 'cm" perfectly.

and Moseley, after Nolan hud filed

of the game for the Kendalls, In fad.

during the remainder of the game,
that being Caulder In the sixth.
The Oilers added their third marker
In the fourth when with two down.
Moseley got his second walk of the
game, was advanced to third on I'ly*

through the box by Bill Nettles. I"t
was this same Nettles who drove In
the other scores for the Oilers In the
second frame. And by a strange quirk
of fate Nettles wafCthe only man to
go down via the strikeout route In
the game. In justice to the hard-hitting
Oiler backstop, the strikeout was
on called strikes.
