Mack, of Columbia, and his colonel. Charles A Gordon, of Columbia, reported that at the regular executive aeuion at the forty-sixth reunion General Yarhrough was re-elected by a 7-6 vote. Col. D. W. Selgler asserted Yarhrough was uot the choice of the majority and that Yolea were cast by persons who were not veterans. Ho said he called a separate session at which only veterans voted, and "not a single veteran failed to vote for Mr, King." Mr. Fulmer visualized the program as the fljyjt step toward a possible annual consumption of 250,000 bales of cotton for this purpose. He exhibited a telegram from Lawrence Myers, of the department, stating that "under the program sufficient patterns of cotton material will be sold to cover a maximum of 1,000,000 bales with cotton." The material, Mr. Myers said, will weigh four and a half pounds per pattern of six yards, the requirments for covering a bale, and was especially designed for the purpose and tried out extensively last year. This bagging can be sold to producers, gins or oil mills located In or serving one variety of improved cotton communities. It may also be sold to the regular bagging trade and others for resale j in the communities. Additional payments to mills "uv enable them to sell this material at( fixed prices will be arrived at ;h rough competitive bids to be opened on Aug-( ust 12." Mr. Myers said.
