Sumter Prepares
For Camden Game
The Sumter high football team,
rapidly rounding into shape for the
opening game of the season Friday:

of the Winter Haven, Fla., American 1
Legion post. The corps of 27 will ]
leave Winter Haven early Friday ,
morning en route to the national Le- i
gion convention in New York and
will arrive in Sumter around six J
o'clock. Through I. M. Richard son, <
secretary of the Board of Trade, an
invitation was extended to the corps <
by the high school to attend the game '
Friday night as guests of the school.
The Invitation was accepted and the <
corps commander statedMhat his or-,
ganization would be glad to put on \
a demonstration between the halves. '
The corps Is in charge of Captain 1
Floyd Clemmer and has as its drum 1
major and mascot a young lady, Miss j
Evelith. Miss Evelith Is said to bp ]
outstanding in her work and will i

The game la scheduled to start i
promptly at 8 o'clock. Admission will j ^
