She was graduated from the Charlotte
Thompson school and since that time
has been In recreational work In this
county.
Mr. Dutcher Is the only son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph E. Dutcher, of Wilmington,
Delaware. He received his
education at DeVoe Military Academy.

Gates Ford Club
The Gates Ford Home Demonatrodon
club met at Clear Water Lake
Saturday, July 31, to have their anlual
picnic. The wsmen invited all
he club members and families to this
picnic. Some of the members enoyed
swimming a great deal which
teemed to have caused much fan and
tmusement. But we really enjoyed
he picnic lunched best of all. While
in thlB trip our members also die
sussed whether they wanted to sell

riot. All the members were not pres- ;
ent, so we decided to wait and call
a meeting for further discussion later.
The women enjoyed being together,
so they could discuss different Ideas
of canning and gardening and the like.

Mrs. Thomas N. Waters entertained
at a lovely party Thursday afternoon,
celebrating the seventh birthday of
her daughter, Marjorle Ann. Many
games and contests were enjoyed.

Mrs. Hughey Tlndal, who was recently elected president of the American
legion Auxiliary of the Department of South Carolina at the annual
convention in Rock Hill. Mrs. Tlndal Is the daughter of Mrs. Madden
and the late Dr. A. A. Madden, of Columbia. She attended the Columbia
city schools and Chicora. She has long been active and Influential in the
Auxiliary. She was president of the local chapter in 1027 and has held
many important posts in the state organization, having been department
secretary, trophy awards chairman, conimitteewoman from (he Fifth district,
membership chairman, legislative chairman and first vice president,
culminating with her elevation to the presidency ut ttie Rock Hill meet.
