Hope, of Sharon. The wedding vows were spoken before au arch intertwined with Ivy aud yellow roses, with a background of long leaf liines. The living room was lovely ,)vlth bowls of daffodils and yellow lighted candles. The bride wore u becomniug dress | of powder blue with gray accessories and wore a corsage of baby pink rosebuds and lilies of the valley. Only the immediate families and close friends were present. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride's parents. Mrs. IRiboise Robinson and Mrs. Hurold Scott assisted with the refreshments. The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. The happy couple left after the reception for a short wedding trip. Mr. Maloney is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Maloney, of Sharon, and is connected with the Dunlap Chevrolet company, of Yorkville. For the last two years she has been making her home in Washington. Mr. Davis is the son of Dr. and Mrs. George Hiter Davis of Warrenton, Va. He attended the University of Virginia and has since been associated with the Democratic national committee in Washington and New York. Many amusing and interesting costumda were created. The prizes going to Mias Margaret Johnson and Miss Annie Josey for a Colonial bride. Two little girls?Betty Jane McCaakill and Sarah JUne Rosier, then entered with a largo basket of presents and passed it before the bride's chair. In a pretty little speech Miss Josey expressed her thanks for the many beautiful and useful gifts. These awards will provide one scholarship for each of the 'Extension Sor.viee districts and one from the statu at largo. The district awards valued at ItiB OO each will cover one year's tuition, while the grund award of $130.00 will cover two years' tuition. * , Theae awards are ' made possible through agreement on the part of the Barrett Company, distributors of Arcadlun Nitrate of Soda, to furnish the above named amounts through the treasurer of Cletnson College to cover tuition. Director D. W. Watkins of the Extension Service has received notice of this action from Robert H. Garrison, Columbia, S. C., agriculturist of tho Barrett Company. Winners of these scholarships will be selected on the basis of all-round 4-H club work including leadership and uttltude toward community development, says Dan Lewis, state boys' club agent. Of course, high school grades and training will have to be considered in view of the fact that It requires fifteen high school units of credit to enter college.
