when many business men in Camden
pledged their Bupport for the coming

izo the Chamber of Commerce wus
.appointed with Mayor J. II. Osborne,

Anerum, and as a result the above
board of directors were selected, and
they In turn elected their own officers.
'Iho board of directors of the new
organization appeared before the City
Council on Monday night to ask for
financial assistance and the city made
a generous appropriation and pledged
their support to an organization that
would function properly for the benefit
of everyone In Camden.
It was unanimously decided at the
supper two weeks ago that a full time
executive secretary should be had.
This has been gone into very
thoroughly and wo hope to have a
man of this type soon, who will work
for the benefit of everyone.
[ No town in South Carolina has a

the leadership of the new officers and
the help of an executive secretary,
together with 100 per cent co-operation
on the part of the merchants,
Camden can look forward with plenty

Daring Stunt At

Camden fans will get an extra treat
on Sunday at the Woodward Airport
when they witness the daring stunt

I Daredevil Eddie Miller, who has

one of the most dangerous that
trick riders have ever attempted.
Miller has had experience In plane,
stunting, bus hung from tall buildings
with nothing but a strand of rubber
between him and certain death and
has devised many other ways to risk
his life to "give the crowd a thrill."
The wall through which he will
lido Is not flimsy. It is two by four
and one by twelve inches In size.
A large crowd is expected to be on
hand for the exhibition and the people
will no doubt be thrilled by the
spectacle.
