115,000 more than had ever before
been sent out for previous elections.
The larger number was seal because
of Increased registration this year
and the larger vote which expected.
Three sets of ballots were Included
in those sent to the court clerks'with
instructions to turn them pver to election
commissioners.

county, and constitutional amendments.
Mr. Bonner has predicted that the
Democratic vote in the state will increase
tills year by 60 per cent, over
1032. to a total of 165,000.

unable to support themselves and
would otherwise suffer." The amendment
would allow state aid to be paid
the blind and needy children under
16.
Another constitutional amendment
which must be voted upon would allow
the general assembly to prescribe
larger limits for school districts in 22
counties. At present the constitution
restricts the area of school districts
to 49 square miles.
Mr. Bonner predicted that the two
Republican factions presenting tickets
in the general election would poll
only about 1,650 votes, several hundred
less than in 1032.
Two Arrested On Car Theft Charge
Clyde Beckham's Ford V-8 car v\ hb
found Monday on the street In Itcck
Hill and returned to him by the authorities
after It had been stolen since
Wednesday night of last week. A
fender was damaged and the engine
was also damaged as the machine had
been driven 2,200 miles since It was
stolen.
Not even the license plate had been
changed on the car so that it was
readily noticed by officers at Reck
Hill. Following the finding of the
car Floyd Dees and Bill l'olk were
arrested in Rock Hill and charged
with the theft. Polk is about 21 years
of age and Dees appears to bo about
30. Roth deny stealing the car and
say that they know nothing about it
They were brought to Lancaster and
placed in the county jail Tuesday by
Sheriff R. A. Blackmail uud Deputy
