Mr. Cummlngs was lib years of age, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. .J. T. Cummlngs of Oalzell. At the time of Ids death Mr. Cumtilings was first sergeant of the police force and had boon a member of the police department since li<21. He was an efficient and popular officer and his sudden death came as a great shock to the community.
