Progressive Dinner Party ?
A gay social affair which the younger
society set enjoyed during the past
week was the progressive dinner party
given on Monday evening. The
dinner began with a fruit cocktail,
which wbb served at the home of
Miss Dorothy VanLandingham. The
guests then went to the Hotel Camden
for the main course and this was
followed by salad course, served at
I the home of Miss Mary Lee Blakeney.
This delightful affair ended at the
Little home on Mill street where the
eighteen guests were entertained by
Miss Mary Florence Little at a sweCt
course and afterwards enjoyed dancing
till a late hour.

president, Mrs. Clifton Smith, for the

and the Christmas spirit prevailed
throughout the meeting.
Miss Fewell, the county agent, thep
discussed "Convenient Kitchens." And,
as this is a newly organized club she
also discussed the reasons ' for club
work and the benefits derived from it.
After the business was over the hostess,
Mrs. Smith, served cakes, doughnuts
and coffee.

News from the bedside of Dr. W.
R. Cl^yburn, One of Camden's popular
physicians, is to the effect that he
has so far recovered as to be able to
sit up a while each day. This will be
glad news to his host of friends not
only In Camden, but throughout the
county where he has labored with the
sick so long. He suffered an attack
of pneumonia.

Jersey, proposes to Inaugurate a new
old-age pension plan, undqy which

A delightful event of the Christmas
holidaya took place Wednesday night

hospital, where he was operated
