the "Kec Cross Roll Call" was given.

Margaret Fewell, the project song for

Kit< ens,", which proved to be a
very int resting subject. First study
your kitnen, make neceseary changes
if possite, afVange for wall space,
with hifi windows. Second, group
your funiture accordingly having
work cater as near the stove as
possible n order to save steps, then
the servig center and last the clearing
and placing away of the dishes
and pan. The importance of some
kinds ol water works were stressed
in her ttk too.

The Gtes Hill Home Demonstration
?lub hel Its regular meeting Friday,
Decembe 6, at the school house with
eiglity-al per cent attendance. The
devotionl was given. The roll call
was ans ered with a Christmas wish
-or suggction. A Christmas spng was
used an - the Christmas spirit was
prevalen throughout the meeting.
Miss Msgaret Fewell gave a very Interest^
outline of the duties of the
various lub chairmen. At this time
seven cib members received certificates
fc work completed last year
under tfe "State Plan." It is hoped
that moi members will compete for
certifiers this year. During the social
hour gaies were enjoyed. Every farm
woman ( our community is invited to

Two women motorist from New
Jersey presumably bound for Florida
slid into Lynches river near towh Sun*;
day during the snow Btorm. Fortu- i
nately, a man traveling behind them
on liighwuy No. 1 had a trailer at-1
lathed to his car with a boat ou Jit
and soon rescued them from the icy
wuters. They were brought to the
King-Davis hotel here almost frozen
from the cold. Dr. Stokes was called
and gave them medical care. Later in
the day they were carried to the
Camden hospital.

back in the hands of normal again,
fire crackers caused our little town to
lose only 3 eyeB, 2 hands, 1 dwelling
and 2 barns, but, otherwise, everthlng
turned oyl fine.
