The juice of half a lemon in a cup
of hot water on awakening is an exiclient:
liver corrective and successful '
substitute for calomel and other al-;
terative drugs.
A dash uf lemon juice in plain
water make a cleansing tooth wash,
not only removing tartar, but sweetening
the breath.
A lotion of lemon juice and rose
water will remove tan and whiten the
skin. Suck fresh lemons sprinkled
with -11 for sore throat.
Lemon rind dipped in salt cleanses
brass beautifully and conveniently.
To have clothes beautifully white,
slice an unpoeled lemon into the water
when boiling.

superior vinegar for salads. j
Application of lemon juice to insect
bites reduces the irritation.
A freshening drink is made by I
adding a freshly beaten egg to lent- ;

Country Home Is
Destroyed By Fire
The eight room country dwelling
of Robert T. Mickle. well known citizen
of West Watereo, was complete11
y destroyed by fire last Saturday
afternoon. Most of the house hold
goods were also destroyed or badly
damaged and it is said Mr. Mickle
carried no insurance,

ia hill on the old road leading from
i Camden to the Wateree Power Dam,
i surrounded by green slopes with cat
tie and sheep grazing thereon, never
failed to attract the eye of passersI

Mr. Mickle besides being engaged
! in farming and cattle raising, at one
time did considerable road eonstrue|
tier. work. He is a highly esteemed
and influential citizen and his friends
' t egi ct his loss. Mr. Mickle was in
Camden or. a business trip when the
fire occurred.
