The dead are William MacKnight, 66, manager of the American Stores company cannery at Hurlock, Md., and Thomas MacKnight, 18. T.-A. Meets The Charlotte Thompson P. T. A. held an interesting meeting Wednesday evening, November 10, at the School house. Mrs. Mattie West gave a report of her trip to the District P. T. A. meeting at Choraw. Miss May Boykin made a very instructive talk on "How to Cultivate Good Reading Habits." Miss Carolyn Heyman had as the subject of her talk "Does Our Charlotte Thompson Library Fulfill The Purpose It Should." These talks wero very interesting, and helpful. Misses May Rush and Polly West delightfully entertained the association with a piano ensemble number, Schubert's "Military March." The association adopted as its objectives tho following .resolutions: To furnish medicine and other necessities of the sick room; to promote good reading; to sponsor the upkeep of tho terraced gardens; to promote sanitary conditions; to paint tho school building. Tho high school won the pencil sharpener for having the most parents present. The association decided to join with the home demonstration club and have a social meeting nexfc -month.
