to confer with Birmingham attorneys.
They will spend one or two

the trial of the negroes, they

If the appeal to the supreme court
for a new trial is successful, the two
lawyers said, they will represent the
eight condemned men at the new
help ing.
The-sentencing of the negroes has
brought hundreds of protests from
all over the world. Several agencies,
pt including the International Labor Defense
League, have interested themselves
m the case. The two girls
were attacked while "humming" a
ride on a train.

Charleston, took out insurance policies
on nine young persons, saying he
hoped to cash in when they died before
he did. One of them, a nine-,
