Capone Convicted; Six Months Sentence Chicago, Fob. 27.?A1 Capone was convicted of contempt in federal court today and sentenced to six months in county jail. Judge Wilkerson in announcing his decision declared it was evident the affidavit which attempted to show C.apone was ill and in bed when he was wanted by the government two years ago, was "glaringly false." The effect of the affidavit, the judge declared, was to "hamper the administration of justice" and that this court is not to be tampereJ with." News From Boykin Section Boykin, S. C., Feb. 27.?The regular meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association was held at the school house recently with a number of visitors and members present. Miss Gladys Geddings, who had charge of the program, ipresented several pupils in a playlet featuring St. Valentine s Bay and this was greatly enjoyed. Mrs. Robert Williamson and simall daughter, Margaret Beth, of Florence, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Rush. The Rev. J. C. Inabinet, of Sum-1 merton, was a visitor in the home j of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Smith Friday.
