The folks have moved away into the towns and cities, and the farms are deserted. Clare Grace 1'rophet, 32, and her brother, Harold William*, 30, a farmer, are being held in jail in Philadelphia, Pa., charged with slaying the woman'* husband, William j F. Prophet, k9-year-old advertising j solicitor. Prophet was killed in bed at hi* home Saturday night by a pistol shot near the heart, but it wan not until early Sunday that police obtained the purported confessions from the two. Mr*. Prophet told police that for month* ?Ue had been unhappy with her hu*band and that her brother wa? going to receive part of Prophet's $2,000 life insurance after his death. . -\ ' ? Mr*. Herbert Hoover christened the new ship of the Robert Dollar steamship line* when the ih?w vessel slid down the way* at the yard* of the Newport News shin building company at Newport News, Va., on Tuesday.
