The Chronicle wishes all of its
readers, friends and patrons a Merry
Christmas. To our mind the men and
women who are now engaged in caring
for the Children's Home in Camden
and raising a fund to be distributed
among the poor and needy are
carrying on a most laudable undertaking
and deserve the help and encouragement
of those who are more
fortunate. This year the need is
greater and if you have not already
contributed to this cause, send your
donation to this office and it will
he placed in the proper hand*.
Trie Chronicle hopes that every
little child who forwarded their letters
to Santa Claus will be visited
by old Saint Niclc and each one get
what they have asked for.

TAX RETURNS
Office of Auditor Kershaw County,
* Camden, S. C., December 5, 1930
Notice is hereby given that the Auditor's
Office will be open for receiving
Tax Returns from January 1st,
1031, to March 1st. 1031. All persons
owning real estate or personal property
must make returns of the same
within said period, as required by
law, or be subject to a penalty of 10
per cent.
The Auditor will attend in person
or by deputy at the following places
in the county on the dates indicated
for receiving returns:
Bethune?-January 13th and 14th.
Raley's Mill?January 15th.
West villc?January 16fch.
Blaney?January 21st and 22nd.
Liberty Hill?^January 23rd.
Kershaw?January 20th and 30th.
All persons between the ages of 21
and 60 years, inclusive are required
to pay a poll tax and all persons between
the ages of 21 and 50 years,
inclusive are required to pay a Road
tax, unless excused by law. All
Trustees, Guardians, Executors, Administrators
or Agents holding property
in charge must return same.
Parties sending tax returns by mail
must make oath to same before some
officer and 111! out the same in proper
manner or thov will be rejected.
