Franklin i? alive but bin dog is dead.
The dog?a breed of bulldogs that
known ho fear, gave his life to prevent
a bull from goring Franklin to
, death.
Franklin was driving the bull from
a field near here when >tbe beast
suddenly turned on him and with a
( toss of horns and .hurled him to th/J
ground.
The bull charged with lowered bead
and Franklin helplessly awaited the
attack. A second before the bull
reached 'him, Franklin's dog leaped
and gripped the enraged animal's
nose.
[ He clung there until Franklin
scampered to u nearby fence.
The hull eventually ;ihook the dog
loose, and gored und trampled it to
dcuth.
Franklin was injured badly, but
' doctors said Unlay he would recover.
