Thing* like that happen, but are
hard to believe. Friedman, however, i
hud evidence. The teeth were gone,
the bullet wu.s in his stomach.
Friedman, 42 years old, waa'stepping,
out of 'a Weat Madison street
restaurant last night. A man rush-,
ed at him, pushing a pistol into
Friedman's face and puiled the trigger.
Then the fellow ran away and
never did get caught,
Friedman yelled, the ambulance
arrived, he was taken to the hospital.
Doctors began looking for the
bullet and finally found it in Fried- '
man's stomach. - The bullet had takeil
three teeth from Friedman's lower
jaw and then, its force spent,-had <
gone harmlessly the doctor said-?
down the Friedman esophagus when
Friedman, quite naturally in view o?
everything, gulped.

Myrtle,."Beach,?Oct. 26.--Believe it
or not, another large tafpon, was
caught here thia week by the Sumo
fisherman who bagged the first tarpon
here some weeks ago, and about
the same hour and almost in the identical
spot. This is the second tarpon
caught at Myrtle Beach this fall and
so far as is known, is the second ever
caught off the Horry coast.
