I Lugoffff Club Hehl Meeting. On last Tuesday afternoon the logoff Home Demonstration Club held their monthly meeting at the Community House. The president, Mrs. B, W. Getty#, called the meeting to order and then followed the election of officers. The same officers were , rn-elected unanimously to serve an-1 other year. Mrs. Karl Trusdale, Mrs, J. W. A. Sanders and Mrs. J. A. Bell [ were asked to act as managers for I the club house for the year. A discussion was held as to the probability pf entering a booth at the Sumter County Fair this fa#. Miss Saliie Pearce, president of the Council of Farm Women was present. After the business session the hostesses, Mrs. J, A. Bell and Mrs. J. J. Bell served delicious refreshments. Auxiliary To Meet. The president, Mrs. R. E. Chewning, announces the next meeting of the American legion Auxiliary to be held at the home of Mrs. S. C. Zemp on Friday, September 13th, at 4:30 o'clock. All members are asked to attend so that the fall program c$n be arranged. Mr*. Hokm bitertaioM On last Friday evening, Mrs. S. W. Hogue gave a miscellaneous shower (for her sister, Miss Margaret llogue. Many interesting contests were held during the evening and Mrs, F. N. jMcCorkle, Mrs, H. L. Richey and M ins Sybil Rhoden were the lucky winners in these edntests. The hride -elect was asked to "Follow the Uain.bow," a gaily colored ribbon winding in and out of the rooms. The whole lower flowr was thrown ensuite and a profusion of garden Mowers and ferns filled the rooms. The two tables which were unusually lovely carried out the color sdieme of pink pnd blue.
