McGraw, New Brookland police officer, who is charged with killing Henry Martin in a Columbia hospital, was granted this morning by Judge T. J. Mauldin. In asking for continuance, Attorney Broome contended that a Columbia newspaper, thi'odgh its news and editorial columns, had convicted McGraw before he went to trial. He read an editorial in advancing his contention that his client could not get a fair trial. Martin was shot and killed in the hospital after he had been brought there by police officer McGraw for treatment of injuries received in an automobile accident in New Brookland.
