Bridge Club Meeting
The. Thursday Afternoon Bridge
Club was entertained at its last meeting
by Mrs. Blakeuey Zemp at her
home on Fair Street. The substitutes
for, the afternoon were Mrs.
Stanley Llewellyn, Mrs. R. H. Pitts
and Mrs. Hughey Tindal. After
cards the guests enjoyed a delightful
salad course.

Kirkwood Book Club met last
Thursday morning with Mrs. Frank
M. Wooten on Fair street. The rooms
were bright with fall flowers. Mrs.
J. B. Zenrip had arranged a very interesting
program. Books for the
year were decided on. Besides the
club members, Mrs. Palmer DuBose,
recently returned from China, was
present. After the business program
the hostess serffed ribbon sandwiches,

Hallowe'en Party
Announcement is made that the
people of the Lugoff community will
hold a Hallowe'en party at the community
house Wednesday evening,
October 31st. - It is the request that
everyone come masked and* an evening
of fun is jfromiaed. The proceeds
will go fpr the benefit of the Lugoff
Community House.
Meeting of Lugoff Club
The regular monthly meeting of the
Lugoff Home Demonstration Club
was held at night so that the men of
the community could be present. The
meeting was called to order by the
president, Mrs. J. T. Gettys. All
' business and plans were completed
for the entering of a booth at the
State Fair, to be held next week in
Columbia. Delightful punch and cake
was served by the hostesses.
