I'eacoi k. v. ho figured as defendant in
a sensational murder case at Thomusville,
N. C., several years ago, was
killed in an accident at Winthrop,
Calif., yesterday, according to a telegram
received here today by his
sister. .Mr.-. K. E. Lufsey. His
mother, .ur>. .J. K, Peacock, also reside
here.
Dr. Peacock was declared insane
by alienists and confined to the insane
ward at the North Carolina
penitentiary. He gscaped and made
his way to KJoridu, where he j
