Death of Mrs. Caughman.
Mrs. Mary Ross ('auybman, wife of j
I!. F. Caughman died at her home j
near Spring Hill Monday night at j
10 o'clock. Her funeral services, con- !
ducted by Rev. W. L. Parker were
held at St. .John's Methodist church
Tuesday afternoon at 2:30.
j Interment was made in the church
cemetery in the presence of a large
family connection and many sorrowing
friends.
Mrs. ('aughman was 42 years old
and had ^pent most of her life in Lee
county. She was a member of St.
.John'- Methodist church and a very
devoted mother.
Slu- faithfully nursed her husband
and 8 children who were sick with
measles when she wa> stricken with
measles, which developed into pneumonia
just one week before the end
ea me.
Besides her husband, she is survived
by the following children,
Mazie 18, Thomas lb, Juanita 14
Frank 12, Mary, Herbert, Raymond,
and Louise. Surviving also are her
| parents Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Ross of
Dalzell and three brothers: Clinton
Ross of Sumter county, Robert Ross
of Dalzell and Britton Ross of Norfolk.
Ya., and three sisters, Mrs. Carl
Scarborough of Camden, Mrs. J. A.
Yates of Dalzell and Mrs. Walter
