dollar for making such levy, which
shall be paid by delinquent without <
entry or mileage fees; provided, how
ever, that any person or corporation
shall have the right of appeal to tinCity
Council of Camden (notice of
such appeal having been given to t he
Clerk and Treasurer within five days'

such appeal, the said Council "shall

that any person, firm, company
or corporation who shall cany on,
or attempt to carry on any calling,
business, profession or occupation
without a license as herein requiied.

give the information required or to
answer such questions as may lie required
or who shall fail to attend
before the Mayor to be examined by
hint when :o required, as provided in
Sections 2 and 1 of this ordinance
may be deemed guilty of a violation
thereof before the Municipal Court
and may be fined ndt more than One
Hundred Dollars, or be imprisoned
not exceeding thirty days.
Section 1. All license granted under
this ordinance shall be posted in
a conspicuous place, except in ease of
vehicles for hire, which vehicles shall
have placed upon them metal badges
with the number of badges and the
license year marked thereon, such
badges in be furnished by the Clerk
and Treaturer upon payment of the
I license tax. Failure to display such
badges will subject the persons owning
or using the same to a penalty
not more than Five Dollars, or imprisonment
not exceeding ten days.
The license granted under this ordinance
shall a' all times be subject
to inspection by any officers of
the City of Camden and no calling,

shall be carried ori elsewhere than the
place named in this license therefor,
unless authority be granted by the
Clerk and Treasurer, which authority
shall be endorsed on the license.
Section 5. All licenses granted under
this ordinance shall continue in
i force until the first day of May A. D.
1 192K, ex-cept such as are written for
a shorter period, as may hereinafter
be provided. ^
The City Council reserves the right
to revoke any licenses for any cause
which to them may seem to be just.
Section 6. The following sum or
sums of money are required to be
paid to the said Clerk and Treasurer
for a license to carry on the business,
calling, profession or occupation in
whole or in part within the limits of
the City of Camden, as iij each case
specifically appears.

Where the gross annual income
from the business, callings, qr professions

Dollars or less, the license shall be

Section VII. The license on any
business or occupation not named in
the foregoing schedule shall be fixed
by the Mayor and Clerk.
Section VIII. Wherever in this ordinance
the terms "persons, firm,
company, corporation or party" are

the principals, hut in their absence
shall include any ag< nt, clerk or employee
having chn><. mnigernent
or eonitol of the huntings, calling. occupation
or profession referred to,
and such agent, clork or employee
shall be subject to the penalties herein
imposed for failure to comply
with the terms and requirements of
this ordinance, in the same manner as
if he, she or they were principals or
proprietors.
Section IX. This ordinance shall go
into effect on and from the first day
of May A. I). 1927, and all ordinances
or parts of ordinance** in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
