front of the Clyburn Motor company
at Kershaw and succeeded in stealing

after making the haul continued their
journey. This is the fourth time un
welcome visitors have robbed this
firm, the guilty having been caught

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 25. ? The
state registrar of Ohio vital statistics
reports that in the last three years
the. Ohio negro population has in
creased only eight per cent while the
death rate for the same period has
increased 30 per cent. He says tuber
culosis is the great ravager of the
colored race.
A grave in Arlington cometery
bears a plain white wooden marker,
on which in black letters is this in
scription: Lot 3121, Wm. J. Bryan,
Col., U. S. Vols.
The Santa Barbara earthquake
opened subterranean -water sources
and all streams in the quake zone
show marked increased in flow sftice
the shake-up. If the increased flow
continues it will more than pay for
the losses suffered by the shock.
