Gerald ? - ----- - Mill mefy and Art Goods v IF he might be tempted to remark about our town ? as he did about the weather? "Everybody talks and talk.? and talk.? but nobody does anything/' One great human weakness is "good intentions with out action Every citizen is more or less guilty on this count in regard to the development of Camden. Our intentions are the best . We all want a bigger and a better town? but so far in this generation a major ity of our good intentions have ended in talk only . It is now time for action. This display on this page is action. It is costing our business men money to get this message across to you. It is a call for an awakening of all citizens to their individual responsibilities in making ours a bigger and a better town. Unless your good intentions and desires to see Cam den develop and grow are backed by personally living up to all of the rules ? then our town is weakened at that point. . One slacker may do little harm ? but one hundred slackers do untold damages in retarding our town's progress. Boosting Camden is a habit easily acquired ? if you wllVbut look for the good things here and the priv ileges we enjoy. When you speak a good word for the toiDn in which you live; its business houses; its homes: and your neighbors, you interest others? you attract them to your town , and to yourself . So much for that . Trading at home ? buying all of your necessities , lux uries and pleasures .here at home is often another thing . And it should not be so ? because it is the very foundation stone upon which better towns are built , More business means more money in circulation; big ger business houses; better jobs; more pay; bigger and better schools; bigger churches ? and for you who own home or farm ? increased realty values . * Money spent at home means: Your neighbor's profit on your purchase puts him in a position to pay you a profit on that commodity you have for sale ? whether it be a home; a shirt, an egg ? or your labor.
