NO I K b) TO KXECITOKS From a bonding company the fol lowing very timely letter has been received by Judge of Probate Mc Dowell, to which he calls the especial attention of all executors, adminis natoi , guardians and committees: "Hecansc. of many disastrous losses which wo have suffered through ignorance on the part of fiduciaries, we have prepared a "Warning'," one nf which wc 'arc now attaching to each probate bond written at this office. ^ "Thinking that you will be inter ested in this plan, wc are enclosing 1 1 ni' of these "warnings." You will -ce that, wc are trying to accomplish just what you doubtless are trying, namely. t.> impress upon all fiduciar ies' the necessity of expert advice, full accounting, and careful handling of all estate matters. We believe ignorance, because it is so general, causes more tiouble than dishonesty. Anything that judges, attorneys and .-uieiy companies can do to encourage more care and accuracy will be help ful in reducing loss and annoyance to heirs, fiduciaries and sureties, ?s well ar to the court." The letter explained thut the sup porting party of seven men and 120 dogs turned buek on March Id, and the main expedition was proeeedlng with three sleds and thirty-three dogs. The sleds soon will be abandoned, and the Jouruey continued In canoes on the Colvllle river. The letter, which was written by Dr. J. B. The old baggage car carried the war material of all these soldiers to the front. Of that number of men who left this city in the sixties* only two ever re turned to the old homes. ' [Jut the baggage car, after sixty years of service, returned home safe ly, and still is in perfect condition with the exception of the wheels and trucks which many years ago were removed* Inside of the historical old car, Mi*. Adcox has placed a Urge number of relics all Teminiscent of* pioneer days. And the old baggage car' is still pressed in service. * "Harry Mack", whose real name was G. H. McCoun, a broker, and soft of a Long Island minister, shot him self to death in his New York apart ment last Thursday*', night whilo demonstrating to a young woman friend- how ?n unloaded automatic pistol operated.
