spent Sunday with friends here.
Mrs. Sterlin Riley and children are
visiting parents in Hartsville.
Employees of the mill have been
enjoying the radio concerts for the
past week. Mr. R. B. Pitts, Pres. and
Treas. is always glad for the em
ployees to use his radio outfit.
The Company furnishing electric
power fur this section have notified
the industries that it may be neces
sary to curtail on account of low wa
ter. In case this curtailment is ac
tually required, the Hermitage Mills
have already secured materials for
operating their entire plant with
steam and water, so that if this cur
tailing is enforced there will be no
loss of time for any employees.

cently received a visit from a party
of distinguished tourists, and for their
entertainment had a complete ear as
sembled in something like ten min
utes. The daily papers published this
feat and a few days later the manu
facturer received a telephone call ask
ing if it was true that he had assem
bled a car in ten minutes. "Yes," re
plied the manufacturer, why?"
