kind of people, but for every kind.

to happen In news. Every newspaper
in the land Is beseeched to keep things
out and play up other things all out
of proportion to their real value as
news. There are those who think that

Caught Snake in Trap.
W. Frank Nisbet, prominent far
mer of the Jacksonjiam section, was
in the city yesterday and related an
unusual snake .capture one day last
week. Mr. Nisbet had been missing
eggs from a hen's nest and laid the
mischief to worthless dogs. In an
effort to catch the would-be tnaurau
der Mr. Nisbet made a trap on the
model .of an old time rabbit box and
set it in a shed near the hen's nest.
Next morning when he went out, to
look the trap, on the inside was a six
foot chicken snake as large as a man's
arm. Mr. Nisbet quickly dispensed
with the rept.Ue and says he hopes
to get more eggs in the future.?Lan

nial that he eloped with Miss Aubrey
Campbell, a pretty nurse was made
today by I lev, J. C. Trotter, who is in
jail here charged with embezzling
funds of Hooks Institute of which he
was financial secretary. Trotter ad
mitted that he had q love affair with
Miss Campbell. hut denied illegal re
lations. lie also denied shortage in
his accounts. lie said his wife was
a grand woman and a good mother.
