Despite the luolemeuey of the weather
about twenty-five of the young people
enjoyed a i>icnle at ' Boykln's Pond
Saturday evening. Mr Steve Crolley
carried them in a truck. A very tempt
ing lunch wai s served and after seVeral
hours of pleasure the party had a race
back wkh a cloud, in which, of course,
they were victorious.
The tflayarouud was alive with little
folks on Saturday afternoon as they
gathered to await the summons to go
in search of the three hundred or more
vari-colored Raster eggs which had
been hidden away. When about otne
hundred twenty-five children had gut ti
ered, the word was given ami the bum
began. After quite a lively search and
a counting up of the eggs, it was found
that Calvin Lomin*c and J K Ki.iot t
had won the hoy's priae. Beulah Nor
rla was the winner at the girl's (prize.

Oui' farmers have made wonderful development and strides in the
last few years in spite of the Bo!l Weevil. This brings lis to the con
clusion tnat we linve one or the best farming sections anywhere in the
Southland. With a little effort and good fertilizers we can produce any
thing. We have the world beat in raising cotton, sweet potatoes, corn.
We can rajse many other crops, namely, tobacco, hay and any kind of
gardeii truck for market. Springs & Shannon lias catered to the wants
of our fanners tor over 30 years and we irre in just as good a position
to do It today xis we ever have been. We at ail times carry a full stock
of Farm Implements. Fertilizers, Groceries, May, Grain and everything
el.se the farmer needs. Our stock Is just as complete in hard times as it
is in flush times We feel eon fid en t that we can save the public money
on their purchases. Get our prices before buying.
DONT FORGET LARRO COW FEED.

-There are 2,000,000 snow birds In

referring to the documents he went
over the other day with Attorney Gen
