iron form in the shape of a pipe, while
Wooden, forms were placed for the
stairs. cMnterlal was prepared at u
special rock crushing and fraud plant
located about prid mile from the build
ing, in a dry river bed.
Got Order Through "Ignorance."
Having been told that a certain buy
er was difficult to do business with
because he "knew It all/7 a clever
shoe salesman recently booked a tidy
order by feigning complete ignorance
of his own merchandise. It was the
first time he had ever come In contact
with -that buyer, so he was able to gel
away with It. So woefully ignorant of
shoes and so wistfully willing to learn
all he could /tfbont them did he ap
pear that thi> buyer, after trying to
assure himself that he was not being
"iniyed." went so far as even to write
out the order himself. Further than
(bis, he complimented the salesman
for his willingness .to admtT his Ig
norance of the business, asserting that,
while* he found that few of them knew
what they were talking about, they

that they did.

On the evening of the sixth day, the

I was telling stories to a large audi
