It has been rumored for .some time
thai the pair did not get along well
together. It is alleged that Mrs, itoues
states that Jim Amnions, a young farm
i -r living about a mile north of Marion;
I gave her the bottle of strychnine over
i i year ago and told her to kill her
I husband wifh it.
Amnions was arrested thjs morn
ing elinrged with accessory before the
fact and is held in tlYc jail bore. Mrs.
Jones made no attempt to eseui)c and
apparently n > effort to conceal ilief al
leged guilt. The neighbors summoned
sheriff ??._Y . Uowell and kept her
under observation until his arrival.
The coroner's jury found the following
verdict :
"11. Jones came to hi* death as a
result of strychnine poisoning ad
ministered by his wife. Lizzie Jones."
The shciriff is in possession of the
hottle which contained the strychnine,
it Is the half ounce size and is partial-'
: ly filled with powerful strychnine.

alarm of fire in the city of Camden,
all motor vehicles of every description,
all horse drawn vehicles of every de
scription, and all pedestrians shall ]5ive
