that plant have come to live among

set to Camden, for they must spend
some money here. They patronize i
churches, physicians druji stores, lee
cream parlors, soda founts, picture I

shoe stores and millinery apart inonts;
Unhvss thoy follow the example' set by
the natives and go m near by towns to
get the last three named articles, I tew
much money do the merchants of these
nearby towns sjiciid in Camden? None!

lip-keep of Camden and Kershaw
county V None! They, of their employ
ees never tread on Caimlcn soil, but
they get n lot of Camden money, and
are "building towns." with It. But
alas!. Camden is not' one of Hie towns.
Some of thn very people who have
found fault with the surburban store,
or rather with the. ones w&o set* t'it to
trade there. s|iend almost every dol
la r for clothing, hats, and shoes out
of Camden. , "Consistency thou art a
jewel !" It is the near by towns and
cities that Is sapping tin* life out of
Camden, anil not the "surburban store."
