little chick. Upon investigation her
brother, II. T. Ilorton, found a partrid
ge nes.t with a number of eggs which
had also broken shell of a h??u egg. The
partridge bad built hor nest around the
ben egg and when she l>ad finished lay
ing, set. Then the ben egg was the
first to hatch and she left the nest with
th<' chick, thinking, no doubtt that the
chick would be family enough for her
