These People Who Are Thrifty and
Clean? They Inherit the Earth.
? ' ' '
By MRS. T1LUE J. FRANKENTHAL, Chicago Banker.
If evervone would only budget-? there would be no need in the whole
rorid. It is injudieioun spending and no saving whiffy brings need and
rant and dependency. Ton wtfl find airtong the neediest people the
rroatest necessity for systematic, saving. And usually they are the- one&
rhn alwdvs have a penny to spend for some nonessential thing.
Women are wo 'fully ignorant of matters of finance. but it's not to be
rondereil at. No one has ever- taken the trpuble to explain the workings
if monev to women, or to any one else, for that mattef. What folly is
o expect a girl, reared with , no thought of money, it's needs or its u:<es,
D become a frugal and skillful manipulator of it when she has a home
fhfirown. ?
Finance should lx> taught in schools, and I think the time will (route
hen t ho world will agr^e with me. [ don't mean the old stock interest
h>h!eius and intricate sums. I mean the successful "manipulation of
lOiicv, the graceful art of saving and the intelligent application of the
Dowledge that numcy will earn money. Such a scheme w i 11 "work for our
itioual advancement and for, security of many, many people.
? These pcoy?l? i who are thrifty, and ciean ? they inherit fh?i onrth
