at the connecting point of the roads
from the east and west, at tlie head

Wallace, blaho. and Coeur d'Alene,
Idaho. There he marked appropriate

"that time has been known as the Mul
lan tree. Tourists seeking souvenirs
of their Jaunt along the Yellowstone
trail have damaged the ancient tree so
much that forest service officers have
found It necessary to take steps to
