foregoing provision shall in no wine stay
or hinder action to enforce immediate

to take and subscribe an oath or affirma
t ion as to the truth of such statement,
or any part thereof ; or front any cause
shall fall to take out such license as
may be required by this ordinance, the
said Clerk and Treasurer ^Jhall report
the case to the Mayor, who shall pr<r?
ceed to ascertain an nearly as |s>ssible,
the business of such person, firm, com
pany, or corporation, for which he. she
or it may be liable to a licet me tax
therefor, and in ease of default, for the
purjswe of such investigation ; the said
Clerk and Treasurer Hhall notify the
person, firms, coiufpsniets or corporations
iu default to appear before the Mayor
at his office ? at a time stated in Maid
nitiee ; and -also such witnesses. as the
Mayor may desire to examine. The wit

Municipal Court, and may he fined not

Sec. 4. All license* grauted under
this ordinance shall be pouted in a eon
NpiruoiH place, ejprept in case of vehi
cle* for hi iv, which vehicles ahall have
placed upon she metal badge* with the
u umber of badgea and the license year
marked thereon, such badgea to be fur
Uished by the Clerk and Treasurer upon
payment of the license tax. ? Failure to
display such badgea will subject the per
sons owning or using the aame to a pen
alty iyf not more than Five Dollars, or
imprisonment not excelling ten daya.
The licenses granted under this ordinance
nhall at all times be subjeot to inspec
tion, by any officers of the City of Cam
den and no ckIIIuk. business, profession
or occupation shall be carried on else
where than the place named in the li
cense therefor, unless authority be grant
ed by the Clerk ami Treasurer, which
authority shall be endorsed on the li
cense.
Sec. 5. All licenses granted uuder this
ordinance, ahall continue in force until
the first day of May A. I). 1920, except
such as are written for a shorter pe

Section VIII. Wherever In this ordi
nance the terms 'tyersons, firm, company,
corporation or party" are used, the same

clerk or employee having charge, man
agement or conrtrol of the business, call
ing, occupation, or ^profession referred
to ; and such agent, olerk, or employee
Hhall be subject to the penalties herein
impoaed for failure to comply with the
terms and requirement* of this ordi-j
nance, in the same manner as if he,
she or they were principals or pro
prietors.
Section IX. This ordinance shall go
into effect on and from the first day
of May A. D. 1910, and all ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict here
with, are hereby repealed.
