The president, Mrs.' Goodale, read a paper from the Food Conservation De partment at Washington requesting a continued saving of food, and elimina tion of its waste. A pledge waa taken by the league to comply with,thisy? quest. Mrs. Goodj|la made a very interesting report on the meeting of the Federation of Women's Clubs which she attended In Columbia last month. ' It was moved .to. give ten dollars to the educational campaign of the Wo man's Council of Defense. The League .nlso decided to donate five dollar^ the Itescue Orphanage.
