The bride was very charming in her wedding gown of white georgette crepe beaded and large picture hat and carried a bouquet of bride's roses, show ered with lillies of the valley. Her only ornament wax a diamond necklace, gift of the groom. The maid, of honor was attired in a cream satin with over drapery of lace touched with lavender. The room where the ceremony was per formed was beautifully decorated in green and white. I certainly hope the war will be over before they have to use you. Well, we had a very good, trip over here. We arrived safely without any trouble or excitement at all. This is a beautiful country. The weather is nice and cool?1 about the same as our September weather in the States. There are lots of hills and mountains. The most of them are covered with green kim** and lot* of little brooks running all through the country which adds much to the beauty of the scenery. It is thick ly settled i^cj- here and practically all or the holmes are built of brick and stone. Some of the old mansions look tn be several hundred yctfr^ old hut they are very beautiful y?'t. There are l<its of sheep and a great many cows In .this county. There is practically no wood land ami not a great amount of trees of any. kind. Coal is used for practically nil heating and cooking. The water over here is fine. It is so cool thai we do not need any' ice in it at nil. I * Is ns float' as ii crystal and siiid to btf^vefy*' healthy, 1 suppose it Will get very cold in winter, ami I hope we will have the Germans beat sh the American bo.\s will not be exposed to the winter weather so much. We ha vi- ii might* fine lot of men in the division where I am.
