Hut for the fact thai the wind was
blowing from the north the entire
plant would have been destroyed as
'he building was an immense frame
structure, fifty feet wide and 184 feet
long and abeut forty feet high. The
glare from the flames of the burning
building lighted up the whole city and
many miles out in. the country.
The value of the building destroyed
wt(s about $15,000 and the contents and
other property destroyed will be about
$60,000, making a total of about $75,
000, which is in large part covered by
Insurance.
