What has become of the Associated'
(Charities In Camden? The faithful
president has l>een left to do the work
alone?
TLe Civic League's Christinas Com
mittee foupd many, many eawn of
dire need and / the lack of fuel, and
the lack of clothing and the high cost
of living, Is being felt more and more
dally. Children's little leaked faces
and shivering bodies tell the talo and
surely something can l?e done by those
more fortunately situated. Have you
faded or a little worn or out-grown
clothing? Send it to the ltest Room
to .be distributed among the worthy
needy. Can you spare fifty cents to
give to this worthy cause? then join
the Associated Charities each and ev
ery one and the burden will be felt
by none. Remember? Him who said:
"My yoke is easy and my burden light"
and "Huffer little ones to come unto
me."

THE IIOUDAY SEASON
IN CAMDEN.
The Yulettdc did not bring the usual
festivities this, year. With the excep
tion of a few surprise parties enjoyed
by the college set and one dance at
Hobkirk Inn, we have heard of noth
ing. The juveniles gave a dance on
Thursday evening at the homo of Mr.
and Mrs. W. II. Halle, and it Is cer
tain that no thought of seriousness
marred the pleasure of that evening.
tru^t that before another Christ
inas gaiety and happiness may again
reign, not only over Camden, but thru
out the world. May the Christmas
chimes of 1018 ring out indeed and In
truth ?
