A Tragic Dcrith.
Little Gladys. the eight-year-old
da lighter of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Hug
gin*. who reside on Chfestnut street,
tiled early yesterday morning. The
funeral services were held from their
residence- this morning at eleven
o'clock. On Thursday morning of last
week while little Gladys was dress
ing by an, open tire her Uttlo gown
caught tire and Instantly was burn
ing fiercely. The mother mished to
her ^rescue and was ? badly burned
about the bands before she suceeed
ed in putting out tho flames. The
little gills suffered terribly until death
