of the brides parents in tilts clfy, last,

j Miss Lenoir Hostess.
A nn>*f surprising and delightful
.affair was the bridsre party given by
j Miss Kate Lenoir oji Thut'sdax after
noiui. May the 'Jith. The guests
, honor were Mrs. ,\, c. and Mi*s
i Josie SuHixan. The former has but
: recently come to Camden, while the
? letter ha-' sj>ent several years here
making many friends who will hear
! with regret that she w ill not return

Miss Lenoir's home xva* charmingly
I decorated with roses and a> the gnosis
j assembled eaeJi found her appointed
I place by discovering her name and
! address w ritten upon a small envelope
; each of which bore a tiny American
tlag for a stamp. The ringing of a
bell was the signal for the opening
of the missive.-1 and within each wsis
a card containing these words "Mr.
land Mrs. William II. Whitley, at home
j after October. 11?17, Albermarle. X.
; C." There Was a pause for a moment
j until several of the more intimate
j friends of Miss Sullivan realized what
1 the inscription meant and a rush of
eongratula t ions followed.
After the excitement subsided the
playing began. During the refresh
ments, there . was a stir in the liull
way and down the stairs came a tiny
bride. All complete in her white rol>es
and long veil she "made her way to
Miss Sullivan and presented her with
an inviting package, which proved to
contain a dainty camisole. The jnLuia
ture bride was little Elizabeth Zemp,
and very dainty and shy she was
amid the admiration she created. Af
ter her arrival the party broke tip with
| expressions of pleasure over the origl
i nality of the affair.
