It is a pity that more domestic serv
ants have not taken to authorship, for
some of them could have written most
entertaining reminiscences. Foremost
among those stands lied Lion Mary,
who looked after lUirne-Jones and Wil
liam Morris When they shared a studio

that one morning after breakfast Mor
ris came out on the landing and roared
