modern school house at Liberty Hill
to be located on the same site of
the old building. Mr. Stokes was
at Liberty Hill last week seeing af

Monday. The new building will
cost in the neighborhood of $1,300.

members of the Kershaw County
Live Stock Association. The place
for holding the barbecue has not yet

Mm, Helf Dead.
Mrs. Sallle Self, wife of Mr. Jno.
Self, who resides about 13 miles
east of Camden was taken sudden
ly 111 last Monday afternoon unji
died about three hours later. De^
ceased was about 33 years of age
and is survived by her husband and
two daughters. The burial took
place Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock
at Sandy Grove Church.

at Mt. Olivet next Sunday morning

L. Carberry met with a good number
of the members of the girls Toma
to Club Monday at the High School
building and gave them valuable in
structions in canning. A goodly
number of the parents were also
present. Short talks were made by
Mr. I. J. McKenzie, Mr.. Birchmore,
Miss Parrott and Prof, Carberry. A
demonstration was also given at
Kershaw on Tuesday.
Death of an Aged I<ady.
Mrs. Caroline Truesdel, widow of
the late Seaborn Truesdel, died last
Tuesday morning at her old home*
place near Sand Hiil church, about
one mile southeast of Kershaw.
Mrs. Truesdel was 76 years of
age and was one of the most estima
ble and highly respectable ladles of
the community. She is survived by
nine children ? four daughters and
five sons.
