Most of the carriers of the two countieti were present and all were enthusiastic in their support of the measures recommended for advance ment of their own interests and im provement of the service generally. . Speeches by several members, though brief, were to the point and gave birth to Ideas that will result in much good. Mr. C. W. Birch mor outlined briefly the work of tlre-tre^' soclatlon and spoke glowingly of the benefits to be derived from the new parcels post law. His remarks were given strict attention and were well received. ~~ Mr. D. G. Fletcher was elected president; Mr. J. W. Thompson, vice president; Mr. L. /H. Williams, sec retary; Mr. J. E. Rush, treasurer; and Messrs. D. G. Fletcher, J. W. Thompson and M. S. Rosier were chosen as delegates to the State meeting to be held at Orangeburg in October. _ The next meeting is to be held in Lancaster on February 22nd. Kiie at Davidson Lumber Co.
