Tha handsome rooms had heen converted Into a greenery, with spring^ early flowerw blooming in profusion-? Jonquil* and violets, hy acinths and narcissus were blooming everywhere, and the dainty colors of their blossoms and foliage used in all the minor details. Score was kept on pretty cards, hand painted in jonquils, and tho first prise, a lovely pair of white silk hose, went to Mrs. J. T. Hay. . An exquisite hunch of sweet peas and feathery ferns, tied with while satin ribbon was presented Jo the honor guest. Three tables ojf bridge devotees played enthusiastically for two hours, and at 1 o'clock were invit ed into the dining room, where an 1 elegant course luncheon wan serv- j ed. The room was filled with the mingled perfume of hyacinths, Jon quils and violets. Tho table in tho center was charmingly arranged ? its highly polltdied surface covered wl^h handsome cluny mats. The center piece, an artistic basket, fill ed with white hyacinths and fernB and tied with white satin ribbon. The crystal and silver bon bon dish es were filled with white und yel low mints, thuB giving tho touch of sunny yellow that effectively car ried out the suggestion of blended colors in the decoration. Camden people have been charm ed by the pleasing personality of the honoree, and she has been the recipient of many social favors, Those enjoying this delightful af fair, were: Mesdanics Edwin K1. Boy kin, her own beautiful country home being rather inaccessible for this occasion. The rooms were prettily decorated in palms, ferns and other greens, while carnations and Hweet peas gave- their fragrance and beau ty, and were effectively arranged throughout the rooms. The meeting wbb well up to the usual standard for elegance and beauty always set by this club. After the games the hostess served a salad course, with coffee, followed by candies. At an advertising men's banquet in Denver, Dr. H.'Wood Avery, the author of many advertising mono graphs, ended an informative ad dress with an amusing story. "The power of the 'ad,' " he said, "is truly miraculous. I know a young actress who mislaid a string of pearls. She inserted a 'lost and found* advertisement and the next day I asked her: " 'Wei 1 , d'd you get your pearls "Back?' " 'Yes/ she answered ? 'and isn't advertising wonderful?
